Grand Master Teacher Leone
Michael Leone has over 40 years of martial and healing arts experience. He is currently the Medical Qi Gong Director of the Zen Wellness Center in Sun City West, Arizona. Michael has owned and operated martial art studios, Zen Yoga and Zen Wellness centers and is the author of the highly acclaimed book ”The Zen Wellness Self-Care Solution”. He is currently registered as an 8th degree Grand Master Instructor with the United Martial Arts Association of America and one of 14 Chief Master Instructors in the International Doh Yi Federation.
He began his martial arts training as a teenager in 1977 and received his first black belt in Tae Kwon Do in 1980 under Phil Salemi. The main emphasis during this time was the ‘warrior’ training - cultivating the seven bushido virtues: Honor, Courage, Respect, Honesty, Loyalty, Benevolence and Right action through self-defense and fighting skills.
Michael is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and has been studying and practicing Chinese Medicine for over 20 years. He graduated from the Academy of Chinese Medicine in China in 2009. Michael has been teaching full time for over 30 years and has trained thousands of students and instructors.
Michael has trained with many masters and grand masters from different disciplines including Grand Masters Sung Beak, Jin Hung Li, and Jerry Cook.

Master Teacher Campbell
Master Campbell’s unique perspective on health, wellness and spiritual growth comes from his lifelong study both of music and the ancient arts of Taoist health and medicine. His meditation and Zen training began as a child through music. His whole adult life has been an effort to combine eastern arts, meditation and music.
A 7th degree black belt and Zen Wellness Master Teacher, he has trained with many masters and grandmasters in meditation, tai chi, qigong, kung fu, yoga and Taoist medicine. He has been teaching the eastern healing and spiritual arts for over 25 years and currently owns and licenses Zen Wellness Centers with headquarters in Phoenix.
Master Campbell has trained and certified thousands of students and instructors and has also worked with and consulted with hundreds of yoga and wellness studios in the US, Canada, Europe and Australia, teaching entrepreneurial skills to studio owners and independent teachers. He is the author of “The Official Yoga Business Success Guide” and numerous manuals and training programs teaching meditation, kung fu, qigong, tai chi and entrepreneurial skills.

Master Teacher Venable
Maser Instructor Alan Venable is a registered 6th Degree Black Belt with the United Martial Arts Association of America. Gold Coin.
Master Instructor Alan Venable is an instructor for United Martial Arts under the tutelage of Grandmaster Michael Leone, Grandmaster Jerry Dibble, and Master Jason Campbell. He has had the privilege of learning from other Masters and Grandmasters throughout the years, including Grandmaster Jiang Jung Sung Baek and Grandmaster Pan, Master Chris Dining, Master Ping Zhen and Soke Harley “Swift Deer” Reagan. In practice of Southern Shaolin Tiger & Crane, Bagua (Sun Style, Chung Style, Chen Style, Emei Style), Tai Chi (Yang Style and Chen Style), Xing Yi Chuan (Sun Style), Wing Chun (from Yip Man), and Northern Shaolin Long Fist (from Yue Fei). All traditional styles. He also practices Chinese 18 Weapons Forms, Japanese sword, and exotic forms such as Eight Drunken Immortals, Northern Preying Mantis, Iron Monkey/White Ape Boxing, Northern Eagle Claw, and others.
Currently Master Venable is in process of earning more Black Belts in Judo, Ju Jitsu, Aikido, Sho-rei Kenpo Karate, Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun under the tutelage of Grandmaster Jerry Dibble. He also teaches Lightsaber classes at several ASU campuses and is the President of the Saber Martial Arts Foundation.

Head Instructor Oderkirk
Amy holds a 3rd-Degree Black Belt. She started training in 2007. Certifications that she teaches include: Zen Yoga, Medical Qigong, Kung Fu, Different styles of Tai Chi, Advanced Medical Qigong protocols.
Amy has the amazing capacity to simplify complex teachings in a way that students can make it their own.
As Program Director, Amy’s superpower is that she is highly skilled at empowering and supporting students, parents, and staff to embody the teachings in the whole of their lives. Amy is able to give so much to so many people because she balances that focused energy with restful and rejuvenating time spent with her supportive husband, her nieces, and three rescue dogs: Geisha, Lacey, Kistler.

Certified Instructor Novero
Kenny started training in martial arts at the age of 12. Currently a 4th Degree Black Belt under Avondale Kung Fu & United Martial Arts. He is trained in Kung Fu as well as other arts like Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, boxing, Eastern and Western swordsmanship.
He’s also learning the healing arts of Medical Qigong. Instructor Novero inspires others through martial arts and wellness to become better versions of themselves. If you see Darth Maul at one of our events teaching swordsmanship, or flying through the air doing the coolest Kung Fu moves, that’s Kenny.

Certified Instructor Leech
Kelsey started training in 2009 and holds a 2nd Degree black belt. She teaches Zen Yoga, Medical Qigong, Kung Fu, and Yang style Tai Chi. Kelsey has an abundance of patience and creates a gentle and creative space for her students to grow within.
This helps students of all ages shed their nonsense and grow into their full potential. Her greatest joy is her two young daughters and setting an example for both her children and her students to embody and live the wisdom teachings that she continues to learn.

Junior Instructor Hayden
Hayden is a 2nd-Degree Black Belt and embodies the strength of Kung Fu. He joined the Junior Leadership Program and is honing his leadership skills with the full support of his family. He has big goals and knows that the discipline and focus that he continues to refine with Kung Fu will help him continue his leadership-mastery journey.
Hayden is a positive role model and example for the students in the little cubs, little lions, and little dragons programs. He is a knowledgable and confident teacher that students feel comfortable approaching. Hayden excels at sword training and holding a low horse stance.

Junior Instructor December
December is a confident leader. She holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt. She has strong punches and kicks and a compassionate and gentle artistic nature. She demonstrates her leadership skills both in the Kung Fu studio and on the softball field. Students have been inspired watching her journey of owning her innate confidence and leadership which she has turned into her personal superpower.
December has an artistic eye and loves photography and shares her images both with the studio and her school yearbook. She is able to capture the potential in her subjects and students. December’s family has been so inspired by her growth that her little brother wants to be just like her!
